Recently I am unable to publish any of my several sites
(all have been up and running for at least a year or
more, so they are not new.) They are located on 4-5
different unrelated servers using 4 different hosts.
I am running FP 2003 and have been since Jan 2004. MS
tech support claims the server extensions on all the
servers, for at least 12 sites in all, must be running FP
2000 extensions and not the 2002 version needed for FP
2003.
Anyone have an idea why all of a sudden I would
experience this problem. The error message I get is the
one that says the server appears to not have FP
exentions/SharePoint services installed.... I get the
same error when attempting to publish from one of my
other PCs running FP 2002 - so I've pretty much outruled
that explanation.
Tech support did send me a patch for FP 2002 exentions,
regarding a security flaw that could cause a temporary
denial-of-service - in which I've used to no avail. Hear
of this patch/denial-of-service flaw for FP?
Thanks much to all
