Can't publish...ARGH!

Using Fpage 2002 or 2003, when I right-click a file and select
publish, put in my http site and then enter my account and password, I
get the "cannot connect" message with the four reasons (proxy, web
host down, etc). This has worked before, so I know the server has
frontpage extensions, that my account and password are good, etc. I
have tried everything I can think of to publish the files with no luck
.. I added a "/" to the end of of the URL, I have tried using the IP
address, etc. Any thoughts?

Also, if I am only copying .HTM files and some .JPG files to a
subfolder on the site, can I use FTP? I'm not touching the stuff at
the root folder level, so will I still mess up the frontpage server
extensions if I use FTP?

Thanks
Brett

Some ISPs will not allow you to "publish" files that way. You'll have to go
the FTP route.
We had one ISP here where I had to FTP everything. Just make sure all the
directories are updated.

Most likely if you used FTP on a site with FP extensions, you have corrupted
the extensions. You will need to reload the extensions and that should fix
your problem. Unfortunately, if you use FP, using anything else will mess
it up.
