Can't publish Frontpage 2000 With Windows XP Media

I cannot publish FrontPage sites from my new PC and need suggestions for what
to try next. Here's some background and info on what I have done so far:

The hard drive in my old Windows 98se PC crashed a few days ago so I broke
down and bought a new one with Windows XP Media Center and loaded my old
FrontPage 2000 software. Everything works wonderfully well - at least until I
try to upload a site.

When I enter my URL and click to upload, I get the standard, usual popup box
asking for my name and password. But after entering the info, when I click
"OK" , the box just keeps coming back - no error code or details option, so I
don't know what's wrong.

It am pretty certain this is not a hosting issue (until now, never a problem
for the 3 years plus I have been with them) - but I opened a service ticket
with my host for confirmation that the problem is with MY computer. FP
extensions are installed and were working perfectly on all my sites just a
few days ago (with my old computer and FP2000 software I have been using for
several years).

I have tried to upload a brand new website that I built from scratch on this
PC, and also updates to an old site. I tried to load them on active sites
and also "dummy" domains that I own. I got the exact same result everytime
and at every site.

I have already checked with Microsoft and Windows websites to make sure my
FP and Windows XP software is fully current and updated. I turned off my
Norton Security / firewall and that did not help.

I would really appreciate any advice, ideas or suggestions. I don't know
what else to try.
