can't publish in FP2003

I have been using FP since the 98 version. I have FP2003 and have been
publishing to a site at Geocities pro ver. I can login to my geocities
account with my user ID and Password with no problem but suddenly my
password is not accepted when I try to publish.. Since I can login to
Geocities with my password and have always been able to publish with the
same password. I have to think it is somehow a problem with FrontPage. Any
help would be appreciated.

I had a simular problem publishing to Cox after I installed
SP2. So I went to Safe Mode with networking (restart
and pressing F8) and published it again. It worked! I have
followed this procedure twice and it worked again.

But as of lately, I have not had to do this because I have
been able to publish with going to Safe Mode. Go figure!

Anyway try the Safe Mode.

I have been having the same problem with Geocities. but it is very
intermittent, normally I will betrying to upload for the best part of a day
then it will link up enough to get a few bits uploaded them pack up again!
I have contacted them via email as they don't have any phone No to ring (I
wonder why!?) and despite my best efforts they have failed to come up with a
reason for this happening!
They keep telling me they are looking into it.
Prehaps if you also ask them directly they might make more of an effort to
find out and do something about it!

Can I ask you if your password and ID is for FTP or FrontPage
Publishing? Some times that makes a difference. I created a website for
a client of mine who gave me his FTP password and ID. I used FrontPage
to design his site. When I went to publish to his site, I cannot access
it to publish it. Even though the password and ID was correct. I called
his service provider and asked if the FP extensions were turned on. They
told me yes. I told them I was having trouble publishing, they told me
that he never requested a password and ID for FP publishing. Once I got
the FP password and ID, it worked. Check this out if you haven't to see
if this could solve your problem.
