Can't publish my web to local folder

I created my first website in FP 2000 and when I tried to
publish it to the local folder on my PC, I got the
following error message:
"An error occured accessing your FrontPage webfiles.
Authors - if authoring against a web server, please
contact the web master for this server's site. Web
masters - please see the server's system log for more
deatils".
I am using Windovse XP Home Ed, SP-1.
The same website was succsessfully published to the
community college server, as my assignment.
Can anybody suggest what was the problem on my PC.

On my machine it need a "/" at the end of the web address then it works.

It may work for you too. But you need to put this in each time you publish
your web.

I tried, didn't work, got the same error message again.
