Can't publish to hosted site

FP2002 SP3.
I edit a page on my local box's FP site, and want to publish it to my hosted site. I
get an error message 'Could not find a web server at 'mysite.com' on port 80.' This
happens for 2 domains, starting today.

If I go to File|Open Web and put in the URL, the site opens with NO logon dialog. I
can then import my page. Front Page has never remembered my logon before.

Everything appears properly in the browser.

Seems like at least 2 things are wrong.

Opening with no Logon dialogue means one of two things:

1) You have placed the website in IE's trusted site's zone, and
configured the zone to logon using the last remembered userid and
password.

2) The security on the website is gone, and the site is open to
everybody for editing.

FrontPage not finding a web server is an indication that the extensions
are no longer running, but it could be a network problem. However,
coupled with the logon problem above, it sounds like the server has
serious problems. I suggest an urgent call to your host to find out
what happened. At the very least reinstall the extensions and see if
that helps.
