Can't re-enable Cached Mode after CIW installation

Here's an issue I have just encountered -

I used the CIW to standardize our OUtlook 2003 installations, and i
the MST I disabled cached mode (doesnt play nice with our version o
EmailXtender).
Anyways, now I have a few users who really want to use it..
unfortunately I cannot seem to re-enable it! It's greyed out fro
the CIW registry changes... I found the entry it adds:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Cached Mode\Enable=
Changing that key, and even deleting it does nothing

I tried to make a a CMW file to re-enable cached mode, and that didn
work... its still greyed out

Has anyone had this issue? if im doing something wrong with the CMW
please let me know. Thanks

Do you have a Group Policy Object blocking cached mode? In other words check for

HKCU\Policies\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Cached Mode\Enable=0
