can't receive email after office xp service pack 2 upgrades

I cannot receive outlook email after downloading all the latest security fixes for office xp

If any one has advice it would be much appreciated

Do you get any specific errors?

Try recreating (do not copy) your mail profile;
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles-> button Add...
