Can't receive email sent to MYSELF on Laptop or Desktop

I cannot send email to myself. I have the same email account set up with
POP3 on my laptop and my desktop. Sometimes I want to send a file over to
one from the other. When I click Send and Receive on either computer, the
Inbox flashes as if it's receiving the email, but very quickly deleting it.
The emails are nowhere to be found, in any folders.

Last night, I COULD receive emails from myself on my laptop, but today I
can't. I have added some new rules and blocked senders since then, but
nothing with my own email address in it.

I looked to see in my Rules and Blocked Senders List, but don't have my
email address listed there. I also tried to add my email address to the Safe
Senders List, but that didn't help.

I thought I had this problem figured out last night, when changing rules and
things didn't help. I deleted all of my rules and started from scratch on my
desktop. That fixed the problem, but now since I've added rules and blocked
senders, it's not working again.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for your help!

Are you getting any error messages? Are you using a firewall or spam
scanner? Could the ISP be blocking mail sent to and from the same address?
(That is a major source of spam.)

Thanks, Diane. I have my Outlook 2003 junk mail filter set on high and I
have Eset's NOD32 Antivirus. I don't think it's the NOD 32, because when I
didn't have any rules or blocked senders, the emails were getting through.

No, I am not getting any error messages.

What do you think it might be?
