Can't receive emails and have default set!

My default is set correctly. I have to manually retreive my emails by
clicking on "send/receive, then #2 "comcast" only, then "inbox". It then
shows at the bottom of pane that outlook is searching for mail, then all
emails are shown in my inbox! This is crazy...please help so I don't have to
manually check. I also just switched from Outlook Express a week ago and
wonder if I did something incorrectly? Thanks
