Can't receive mail

I can send mail, but not receive. If I send a test message, I can't receive
it in Entourage, but it comes in Thunderbird. It's not the settings, because
sometimes it works. I'm using OS 10.4.7, and Entourage 11.3.6. Please help
if you can. Thanks very much.

Please be more specific about what you mean when you "can't receive it." Do
you get an error message? Does Entourage connect and simply not see any
mail, or can it not get through the connection process?

What settings are you using to configure Entourage? How often does it work
vs. not work?

I can't receive or send now. If I try to send a test message to myself, I
hear the sound, and it's in the sent box, but when I try to get mail there's
a message at the bottom of the screen that says "There are no pending
schedules". I know it's not sending because it doesn't come in other mail
programs either. I hope this makes it clearer. Thanks very much.
P.S. I never had this problem until I updated from Office x to Office 2004.

I think your send and receive is turned off, look at tools - schedules, make
sure the send and receive is turned on (has a checkmark) and that all
properties are correct.
Also check if your account is included in your send and receive all schedule
go to tools - accounts double click the account and make sure there is a
checkmark in include this account in my send and receive all schedule.
