can't recieve comcast mail in outlook 2003

i can't recieve email at my comcast adress with outlook 2003. sending is
working. i followed all the steps and typed in the correct paths and when i
test it.......it says it works, but i send myself mail from other places and
don't get anything. no error messages or anything. just no mail.
i've used outlook and comcast before with no problems, but it was 2000 or XP
any ideas?
