Can't record meetings

I've noticed a change recently within the newer teams app. Whenever I did a call in teams, I was able to record the meeting. Now I have to schedule a meeting within teams or calendar in Outlook to record the meeting. Is this a feature that changed with the new teams? Has anyone had the same issue as I did?

Many users have noticed this change, and scheduling meetings through Teams or Outlook seems to be the new standard for recording.
