can't reinstall office off the cd

I had to uninstall office as there were bugs in the programme. I have the cd
with 3 installs, put one copy on my computer a couple of years ago - genuine
cd. Installation always stops with error msg: "Error 25004. Per-install not
supported. Setup failed. Rolling back changes..." What do I do?

I've uninstalled all the Office files, so why won't I be able to reinstall
it? The problem wasn't with the cd - the original files were ok. I
transfered some files from work on a flash drive and that caused some
hiccups. Any idea what that error message means?
