Can't remove custom animation on 3 slides

Hello, I am frequent user of Powerpoint and custom animation. I have just
designed 3 very complex slides with lots of animation. I want to take some of
the animation off - but when I press 'remove' there is a ping sound and it
won't let me. This has not happened before. The other slides in the
presentation are fine. Is there a bug in 2007 if you put too much on a slide
- or is there something I am not seeing?

Is the animation greyed out? It's probably a custom animation that you have
added on the slide master which causes some of the slides using this master
to inherit its custom animation. If you want to remove it, hover over to the
greyed out animation, right click and select "copy effects to slide" and then
delete the animation.
