Can't remove watermark

I added a "DRAFT" watermark to a report a few weeks back. Now I'm ready to
distribute the final version but when I try to remove the watermark, I can't.
I added the watermark by using Format/Background/Printed Watermark. Now
when I go there, it shows the "No watermark" button selected and only the
Cancel button active. And yet I can still see the watermark on the page.
How do I fix this?
I using Word 2003 version 11.5604.5606 on XP.

- Go to View/Header and Footer
- Locate the Draft watermark
- Place you mouse over the watermark and watch for the mouse to change
to a multidirectional pointer
- Click to watermark to select it
- Then press Delete.
