Can't rename a forms

Access 2003 - XP/SP2

I can't rename a form. When I rename the form, Access displays an error
"Module Name is Invalid". The name I am trying to rename to is valid. I then
tried to copy/paste the form and give it a new name. Access displays the
following error: "Error accessing file. Network connection may have been
lost". "Name conflicts with existing module, project, or object library".
After clicking another object tab, then clicking the "Form" tab (database
window), the newly created form is listed. However, if I edit and save the
pasted form, Access abnormally terminates. I am baffled. Any guidance will
be appreciated.

The obvious first step is to determine whether the name you're chosing is
already in use. It is possible to have hidden forms in Access, so you'd
need to check on that.

Then you'd probably want to review the module names, again to check the
obvious -- is there already a module with the name you'd like to use?

Have you checked these yet?

Sometimes Access just gets a 'chicken bone' stuck in its throat.

Have you tried creating a new, empty db and importing the objects from your
old (malfunctioning) db?

Took your advice with the empty database and importing. Everything imported
fine except for the forms which caused the original problem. As Access
imported them, it produced the very same errors that were produced when I
tried to rename them. However, it did import them and allowed me to
rename/change them after the import. Very strange.

Thank you very much for the assistance!
