Can't repair and/or uninstall

Joel

On my laptop I have a version if Office 2003 that was my former employer. I
want to uninstall and install my own version. When I try to using the
add/remove software, it gives me a Windows installer error saying it can't
find the install source.

If I try to install my version it says there is a previous version use
add/remove and then install.

This is a catch 22 for me. I cant use the current version, and I can't
uninstall it and use my version.

Anyone know how to uninstall Office 2003 ?

What is your Office version?
Assuming the same version,
when you insert your office cd does it not offer to repair the installation?

Thanks DL but no avail. I stall can't uninstall or repair and have a non
working hard drive and a new Office 2003 which I can't use. I suspect i'll
either have to do a complete reformat and reinstall or download OpenOffice to
do my word processing and spreadsheet.

Thanks again
