can't REPEAT last action?? GRRRR }:(

In PP2004 I used to be able to manually select 'send backward' from the Arrange pulldown, then hit CMD+Y to REPEAT the layer movement one layer at a time, moving the selected object down in the layering quickly but with precise control.

Now, after 'send backward', CMD+Y is disabled ("Can't Repeat").

So far PP2008 has hampered my progress, even thought it can boast it's new looks. GRRRR

Hello,

I just found that too. You want to emphasize text in your powerpoint slide by changing the font color of certain key words? Be prepared to do a lot of mousing: Repeat and Command-Y no longer applies. But the dang thing does remember that I last asked for Help (command-Y will bring THAT up) or that I did save (no need to Command-Y that since Command S does the trick).

Please find the guy who thought this "enhanced" feature up and fire him.

I haven't installed 2008 yet, but have you tried tearing off the
arrange menu so that you can just keep clicking on the send backwards
icon until it lands where you want it? In previous versions, mouse
over top bar of Arrange menu and drag it onto your workspace.
