I was replying to some emails I received Feb 2 when Outlook Express
5.06 froze. Upon restarting, I realized that my most recent email
(several months' worth) had disappeared.
When I had a similar problem about a year ago, I wasn't able to use
the info at the Microsoft Knowledge Base, but finally retrieved my
lost recent mail by installing Eudora and using Eudora's import
function. However, when I try this, Eudora keeps crashing. I
compacted my Outlook Express files and tried again. Eudora crashed
again.
I also realized that I still have my older version of OE (version 5)
on the hard drive. I parked it in the trash temporarily while
attemping to import OE mail into Eudora, but still no success.
Can anyone point me to a Web URL that might help me? I am running a
Mac with OS X Jaguar and the Classic environment. I am guessing I
need to move some Identities/User folders around, but I'm clueless as
to where to move them.
