Can't save a master word document to a different format with document.saveas

When I try to save a Word document to a different type with the
"document.saveas" command (for instance to HTML format), the function fails
if the document is a master document and contains subdocuments.

The error code is 0x800a1423.

Is there anything special to do with the subdocuments prior to convert the
master?

Hi Reginald,

You could integrate the sub documents into the masterdocument file. There's a
command in the UI toolbar named "Remove Subdocument" that does this. (I know,
it sounds as if it would remove the sub-document completely, but what it does
is remove the sub-document functionality while leaving the content.)

Experiment with this, and if it does what you need, you can record a macro to
get the object model code.
