Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
I'm running Office 2004 on an Intel iMac under OSX 10.5.5. I recently had a hard-drive problem and ended up getting a new hard-drive installed. I had previously backed-up my files on Mozy and was able to restore them to the new HDD with the same overall file structure. And so far things have been fine.
However, I recently opened and edited an Excel file but when tried to save it, I got the error message "Microsoft Excel cannot access the file ..." I am able to save the file to the desktop but not anywhere within my Documents folder. I tried saving under a different name and under a different Excel file type but got the same error message. I checked and repaired disk permissions as well as downloading latest Microsoft software updates but still get the same error message. And I can open, edit and save Word and Powerpoint documents, just not Excel apparently! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Mike
