can't save documents

I am running Word 2001 on OS 9.2 and cannot save new documents or changes to
old documents. What can I do to fix this? I don't have my Word CD's with me
(I am out of the country), but would downloading the 2001 update help?

Hi Callie,

If you have not installed the updates, by all means do so. After you install
the updates increase the preferred memory setting using Finder's GetInfo
command and then rebuild the desktop file.
