Can't save File in PhotoDraw with more than one letter

When I create a graphic in PhotoDraw 2000 it will not let me save the file
with more than one letter or number. If I open an existing file the same
thing happens if I attempt to "save as". I have installed all the updates
for Office 2000 Premium, and am running it in the Windows 98/ME compatability
mode in XP Pro. Does anyone know what's up with this?

The filename problem is caused by running PhotoDraw in Windows
compatibility mode.
