Can't Save or Save As in Office 2004 - Help!

Stephen

I have a new iMac G5 and recently installed Office 2004 for Macs.
Whenever I try to save a file in any of the Office applications I get
the spinning colored pinwheel and eventually I have to force quit the
application. Saving works fine in the Apple applications.
This is a real problem. Can anyone help?

Thanks, I will give that a try. There are a number of things listed on
that link, so if anyone knows specifically which one will work, that
would be great. It's 11:00 here, so I'll get on this sometime tomorrow.

Preference files are always a good place to start troubleshooting, for any
Mac application. But I haven't a clue what specifically might be causing
your problem--let us know if you figure it out.

Well I tried everything in the link and nothing worked. However, I
think I have found the problem, but it makes no sense to me. I keep my
screen resolution pretty low because I don't see so well. I discovered
that if I increase the resolution the save functions work just fine.
Now why would that be? And is there any way around it?

Office 2004's minimum screen resolution is 1024 x 768 (see

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/howtobuy.aspx?pid=sysreq

for details).

Perhaps you can use the OS X System Preferences/Universal Access/Seeing
zoom options instead of adjusting the screen resolution.

mactopia.com site and download and istall version 11.1.0 it fixes that
problem. It worked for me and all in my office.
