Can't save project to Project Server with Project Pro 2007

We are running Project Server 2007 with SP1. One of my PMs using Project
Professional 2007 (w/SP1) cannot save a project to Project Server. Instead
of the "Save to Project Server" dialog box appearing when he enter's "Save
As" the only option he has is to his local hard drive. He is using Windows
Vista as his operating system. He can connect to Project Server and do
other tasks such as build teams, etc.

I have verified that the permission to "save project to project server" is
checked to allow for this user. Other PMs with identical rights can save to
project server. There is nothing blocking anything in his local cache and
there are no errors indicated. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Project
Pro.

Any ideas?

It sounds like the PM is not connected to the Server with Project Pro. Can
the PM open a schedule already on the server? Check to be sure that when the
PM opens Project Pro that the Login dialog box points to the correct server
profile and not the the PM's computer account.

Darrell,

Thanks for your suggestion, but he is connected to the correct project
server environment. The status bar at the bottom indicates that he's
connected and he can perform operations such as Build Team and open
enterprise projects that are on Project Server. He just can't save new
projects to Project Server.

Go tools, Options, Save tab
Change file type from "Project 2000 - 2003 (*.mpp) to "Project
(*.mpp)". your client is map to 2003 files and since it is not
backwards compatible it does not even give you the optio to save.

Hi, We also have a few of our clients that cannot save a new project to the
Project Server environment, either by going through Project Server to create
a new project or the file menu when you open Office Project manually. We are
running Office 2007 Pro, Project Pro 2007 and XP Pro SP2.

I can also verify that we are connecting to the project server environment
when we login to the Office Project 2007 on its start up as says Connected in
the status bar.

This has recently occured after SP1 has been applied to the clients where as
before we could all add projects to the server without a problem.

Any ideas???
