Can't save visio & word files when on network

I have recently been unable to save either Word 2000 or
Visio 2002 files when my computer is connected to the
network. This occurs even if my files are local. I
select File/ Save and the program closes.

If I reboot off the network, both programs work fine.
Any help will be appreciated.
