cant see folders in folder pane

I have imported pst from outlook express into outlook 2010.
The information is in the outlook backup folder size, but the folders do
not appear in the folder pane.
I work with previous email information, not having access to these emails
means I canot work.
Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to make these folders visible?

Did you export from Outlook Express to Outlook or import using outlook's
commands?

Did you search for the email?
