Can't see Group Permissions when pulling up User

M

Mat Lenke

Hello.

I am using Server 2003 and Project 2007, Project Server 2007.

I have added users from AD to the Administrators Group using Manage Groups
from within PWA. When I go to Manage Users and pull up a user that I have
added to the Administrators Group (where I can see all check boxes checked)
it shows NO check boxes at all under the Global Permissions area for that
user.

Any idea why? (the thought being that the whole purpose of groups is so
that you DON'T have to assign permissions per user which is what it looks
like)

Thank a lot in advance,

Mat Lenke

The system is behaving properly. All you should see under the user account
is that the user belongs to the "Administrator" group. Global permissions
at the user level should NOT be set. The user inherits all its permissions
from the "Administrator" group permissions in this case.

If you want to see what permissions they have you need to go to Manage
Groups and look at the "Administrator" group global permission.
