Can't see picture that has been inserted

Hello all,

Very confused here. All I want to do is see the image/picture that has been
inserted in a word document. All I get is a white box when inserting a jpeg
or tiff file. When I do the same thing in Windows XP it works perfectly,
but not on Mac Office/Word. Any help?

Choose Preferences/View and uncheck the Image Placeholders checkbox.
