Can't see some addresses in list, other things invisible

There¹s an address in my address book that has gone invisible. When I click
on it I get a new window that says ³The action could not be completed. Mail
error.² When I close that window, it pops up again (and again and again).
Then I can¹t quite Entourage normally, must force quit. Quitting and
restarting Entourage doesn¹t help. Neither does restarting the computer.
Sometimes more than one address disappears (leaving blank space), but then
all but one seem to come back. I tried both ³typical² and Œadvanced²
rebuilds of the database. No result.

This was preceded by all my ³sent messages² disappearing from the list in
the upper pane, although I could click in the list and each message would
appear in the preview pane and I could also open it. That seemed to be
solved during the rebuilds. Also some messages went invisible on the
newsgroups. Any thoughts. Please?

Running Entourage X, running Mac OS 10.3.4 on G4 iMac.

This indicates database corruption. Hold down the Option key when launching
Entourage and select to rebuild. More info on rebuilding your database here:
