can't see stationery after I download it

Downloads seems ok, but can't see it anywhere in onenote.

I'm currently using the 2-months trial. I'm decided to go full version
shortly. Is this a server problem or a trial edition limit?

Thanks,

Look in your stationery. (sounds stupid but you didn't note where you
looked)
Format > Stationery
Will open the stationery pane, then you can look in what stationery is
there.
All your stationery is listed there.

sorry for the delay and thanks for the answer, but I did check in the
Format>Stationary pane everytime I downloaded a new template.
Absolutely nothing! The stationary download goes ok and then
vanishes!!!

Make sure you're saving it to your C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Templates\1033\ONENOTE\Stationery folder. Go into Windows Explorer
and search for the name of the file you've downloaded, and drag/drop it into
that specific location.

Thanks. I checked that folder and I found that there are some OneNote
sections there such as ACADEMIC, BUSSINESS, DESIGNER etc, but I think
they're by default there. I double-clicked on those and they showed up
in my OneNote as sections under Other Notes folder. Every section has
some really nice templates in pages which I converted to stationary
from the "Save Current Page as Stationary" option in the right pane.

However, I still don't see the templates I download from the office
online stationary, like "College course notes" from here
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC011418551033.aspx

Can someone else try this and tell us if it shows up automatically in
the stationary pane after donwload?

regards,

I tried the link you provided:
- My browser opened.
- I temporarily disabled my popup stopper.
- I clicked on the "Download Now" button.
- A new browser window opened up with the status of the download (191k =
<1min @ 56kbps)
- OneNote opened up automatically.
- After checking the Stationery Task Pane, I now see an entry in the
stationery list entitled "College Course Notes".

Which of the above steps are different for you?
Do you possibly have a popup stopper? That would lead to you thinking
something was disabled when it wasn't.
Do you possibly have lots of stationery such that the "College Course
Notes" entry is not visible and you must scroll the list to see it?

Thanks for your help.

Everytime I followed exactly the same steps you describe. Don't have a
popup blocker other than the IE's built-in, which is disabled.

What's different from you is that after the download finishes, OneNote
opens automatically with the "New" task pane and when I check for new
stationery there is nowhere to be found.

In the stationery task pane, I only have six templates, that I
created, under the My Stationery category. Nothing else.

The downloaded stationery will appear in its own category, and not as a
choice in the "My Stationery" category.

for example, I have the following categories when I look in the
Stationery Task Pane:

My Stationery
College Course Notes <-- downloaded from the link you gave
Tablet PC
Decorative
Planners
Business
Blank
Academic

Expanding the "College Course Notes" item yields 4 pages of stationery.

Understood. However, I never see anything else than my custom made
pages under the My Stationery category. Every template I download
never finds its way to the My Stationery pane.

And my point was that you shouldn't see stationery that you downloaded in
the "My Stationery" list. It will be in its own separate list (such as
the "College Course Notes" entry above - that wasn't there before you
downloaded the file in that link).

Sure. I don't expect to see it under the My Stationery list. Still,
whatever template I download I don't see it anywhere in the stationery
pane... Do you know which is the storage folder for the templates I
download? Maybe, if I find their physical position in my hard disk I
can import them to onenote...
