Can't see styles

In Word 11 for Mac, I'm trying to manage styles. I click on the Manage
Styles box at the top and something--the styles box I think-- zooms
back and forth between the ribbon at the top and somewhere below the
bottom of the screen, out of sight. I can't get it to open up as it
usually does. What's going on? Using OSX 10.7.2.
