Can't See what typing

i have a problem in word and in outlook where it has just started happening, for no apparent reason, that i am getting a black bar across where i am typing so that i cant see what i have typed, when i save the document then go back to it i can see it. Have i done something to make this happen, or do ihave a problem

Hi Lisa,

Typically this problem is due to your graphic settings. The most
common cause is that your color depth is set to 16 colors.
