Can't Select a line of text to hyperlink

Hello:

I have a 2-page table of contents that works great, except that I
cannot select the first line to make it a hyperlink (the project
requires that all the lines are hyperlinks). Every other line is easily
selected.

I have spent a couple of hours pulling my hair out!!!

Does anyone have a solution?

Do you mean you can not select the first row of the SECOND page? Maybe you
have the first row of the table set to repeat at every page? (Select first
row, then do Table, Repeat first row). In that case you can only access it
on the first page.
