First
I added the resource through Project on my desktop, by opening the enteprise
Resource pool, then clicking open/add and then ' insert' from address book.
I save the resource pool when completed.
Next I log onto project web access and go to the Resource tab. There I
select a resource - and click 'edit' in this case when the window with the
RBS appears it is grayed. there are some resources when I select 'edit' the
window with the RBS let's be change it.

Please try the following and let me know the result:

1. Launch Microsoft Project Professional and log into Project Server with
administrator permissions
2. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Open Enterprise Resource Pool
3. Select the resource in question and click the Open/Add button
4. Double-click the resource's name
5. Review the information on the General tab to confirm it is all correct,
including the Windows Account information
6. Click the Custom Fields tab and select the RBS field

Can you change the RBS value following the above steps, or is it still
grayed out? Let us know.

For the new resources that I'm having trouble with there is no "Check box"
to select them (step 3 below). For the resources I added prior to this week
there is. Could something have happened to our server? What makes the the
'Square Check Box' appear in front of the resource. Thanks for helping
Thanks
Cindy

The "no check box" situation means that the resource is checked out to
someone. Log into PWA, then click Admin - Manage enterprise features -
Check in enterprise resources to check them in. After you check them in,
you should be able to edit the RBS field. The way the resources get "stuck"
in a checked out state is when you have a system crash while you have
resources open for editing in the Enterprise Resource Pool. Let us know if
this helps.
