can't send an email

Suddenly I cannot send an email.
When I go to my inbox and click on new, it just blinks at me.
It put a tab on the bottom my taskbar that says "Untitled-Message"
but I can't open, maximize or close it.
Anyone know what is going on?

Depending on your default Mail Server and or you might
possibly behind a firewall. Configure these
settings...for a start.
