Can't send attachments with e-mails

When I try to send e-mails with attachments, the attachments will not go with
the e-mail. Does anyone have any ideas as to why the attachments would not go
with the e-mails?

Could be a number of reasons. We need to know more than just "will not go".
Are they rejected by the server? Do the items stay stuck in your outbox
.....?
Enabling logging when this happens and posting the log file here might
assist.
