Despite having read through all the related postings on this topic, I
can't seem to figure out how to solve my specific problem...
When I'm connected to the Internet on wireless networks other than the
one in my home, I often have the problem of being unable to send e-
mails. I can receive e-mail messages fine, but I am unable to send any
message, but instead get the error message: "a connection failure has
occurred" when, clearly, no such connection failure has occurred!
Verizon is my ISP and they have told me that they have many documented
cases of this type of problem with Entourage and have no idea how to
resolve it. I have SMTP authentication activated, which Verizon
requires. Again, this is not a problem on my home wireless network,
nor on about 1/2 of the ones I access when traveling. However, despite
the fact that I never change my account settings, I cannot send e-
mails on about half of the wireless networks I try to access.
I would be eternally grateful if anyone can help me sort out this
perplexing and, at times, maddeding phenomenon!
I am using Entourage from Office v. X on a Mac OS 10.3.9 system
Thanks,
Will
