Can't send email because 'interface not recognised'?

I use Outlook 2003 and Word 2003. I can't send emails now for some
reason...a pop-up box appears saying 'interface not recognised', it wont let
me save a copy of the email to drafts either because of this problem.

The only alterations to my pc that I have done recently include adding a
signature to emails and updated my windows media player. I have removed the
signature and the problem still occurs. No programs have been installed
(that I am aware of).

Please help I am really stuck without my email....its worse than leaving my
watch at home!!
