The problem I'm having is pretty much the same as microsoft kb 829061.
What I'm trying to do is open a document in word 2000 and then go to E-mail
on the Standard toolbar, then point to Send to on the File menu, and then
click Mail Recipient.
It then comes up with the error: Word could not load the e-mail envelope.
This could be caused by a network connection problem or a problem with your
Office installation.

I have tried the workarounds recommended by Microsoft but non of them apply
to me.
I have no com addins installed or vba code and have tried having outlook
running while trying this - all no good.

It was working fine with word and outlook 2000 but then we uninstalled
outlook 2000 and installed outlook 2002 (plain typical install) then it
wouldn't work.
I'm sure if I go back to outlook 2000 it will be fine but I really want to
avoid this as I want to use outlook 2002.

Any help that can be provided would be great

thanks in advance

Matt

Your Outlook version and your Word version have to be the same--- either
both 2000, both 2002/XP, both 2003--- for Word to properly behave as the
email editor. So you'll need to either upgrade Word or downgrade Outlook.
Sorry!
