Can't Send Email Message From Word 2002, Office 2002

Error says: "Word could load the e-mail envelope. This could be caused by a
network connection problem or a problem with your installation." I tried
reinstalling XP Office Professional. I then went to COM add ins but the only
item is Norton Anti-Spam Outlook Plug-In and, each time I try to remove it,
it reappears. Nothing works. I want to send a mass email from Word, but am
hobbled by this problem.

You probably need to disable the Norton plug-in through the appropriate
application (NAV or NIS).

Anti-Spam is completely disabled. Can you clarify what you mean by disabling
plug-in? It doesn't show up in any of the Help areas, including Symantec
online.

I completely uninstalled Symantec Security, including Anti-Spam, no longer in
COM as an add-in. Still get error message in Word and can't send email. Any
other ideas?
