Does it happen for all outbound mail messages? Did anything change
yesterday?

I am not sure if anything changed. i am able to send messages to myself,
but not to people in my address book. i ran norton to see if there was a
virus and none showed up. also, i am not prompted for password to open
outlook as i was before. finally, when i hit new message a warning comes up
saying a program is trying to access addresses i have..do i want to allow.

I have been having this same problem and my internet service (charter) has
told me that this is a microsoft problem and not theirs. It is very
frustrating since my job depends on e-mail communication. Does anyone know
of a solution or no of a computer tech that can answer this problem.
Microsoft doesn't seem to be of much help in solving this.

I have charter also but I keep getting a "Host Not Found" 550 5.1.2 message.
I called charter and they told me that it is a microsoft problem also, so I
am feeling your pain!!!
