I have now attempted to OPEN the emails in the OUTBOX folder. Can't do this!
Get a message which says: "Can't open this item. Outlook has already begun
transmitting this message." So, I can't send nor can I delete the message(s).
Outlook has toasted me!!!
Other ideas to get this thing working?
LATE FLASH: Here's the solution (I don't know why, but here's what I did to
solve the problem): I extended the SERVER timeout time interval from one
minute to five minutes in the Advanced tab of the Internet E-Mail Settings
(Account settings). I guess the timeout was too short for some reason. Do I
need to compress/pack/reindex anything in Outlook now?
Thanks for everyone who helped. Now, do I need to compress etc?

Accounts have been checked. I even flushed the WebMail folders twice. Still

I have just now been able to get the emails out of the DRAFT folder and into
the OUTBOX folder but the emails are still 'stuck' in limboland. Any ideas?
I've tried RESTARTING the system several times to 'free' up any resources etc.
TIA,
Tom
:
1) I've taken Outlook 2003 down and brought it back up
2) RESTARTED the laptop [1GB RAM; 3.x Ghz; 50GB free]
3) SHUTDOWN the laptop
4) Highlighted ALL the messages and tried OPEN and SEND
5) Just about everything I can think of....
I don't see Action>Resend. I have Action as a drop down menu but Resend
doesn't exist.
TIA

What have you tried? Actions->Resend?

After furious head scratching, Tom asked:
| I did a mail merge into Outlook 2003 of 1000 emails. About 780 of
| them were sent out and then the day rolled over from Wednesday to
| Thursday. I got the alarmed activities and selected DISMISS ALL.
| Since this time, very few, if any, of the remaining 220 emails have
| been sent. How do I get the messages out the DRAFTs folder and sent?
| TIA,
| Tom

Choose E-mail Accounts... From the Tools drop down menu and
check the accounts.
