Can't send emails using Outlook 2007

I can't send email using Outlook 2007. I have Vista, Road Runner, and have
McAfee. I have eliminated both of them as problems. I was told that I should
contact Microsoft. I had no problems until about a week ago. Nothing has
changed on my computer that I know of. I can receive all incoming emails,
but when I hit send a pop up window comes up and says, Email message
problem, one or more messages cannot be sent. Also, it says, After you
verify the format of your recipient addresses, McAfee recommends that you
resend those messages from your e-mail program. I have already turned off
McAfee and Road Runner works off their own webpage. I'd really appreciate
some help on this one. Thanks.

I use a POP3 email account through Road Runner. And McAfee Security Center
version 7.2, McAfee Virus Scan version 11.2, McAfee SpamKiller version 8.2.

The first thing to do is completely remove McAfee, then re-install it
WITHOUT any email scanning whatsoever. In general ALL local email
scanners should be considered incompatible with ALL emails clients at some
level - its entirely in the nature of the beast that the way they must work
will eventually cause problems with email flow, not an "IF", but a "WHEN".
Email scanning belongs on an email server. The resident, local file system
scanner, if kept current, will take care of anything that might slip through
a server based email scanner. Norton and McAfee, in particular, are not
compatible with Vista, you might want to consider something more compatible,
such as AVG, Avast!, or NOD32.
