And what was the ENTIRE error message? That was it? It never mentioned
the account name, server name, or anything else?
Was this account working before in Outlook? Did this account exist
before, or did you just create it and it is a new account that is not
working ever since you created it?
Did you misconfigure the account in Outlook and specify the SMTP mail
host for where the POP or IMAP mail host was to be specified?
If this is a new problem on an old and previously working account, and
if the Outlook account is configured correctly, the 0x800ccc60 error
means the *server* sent back an invalid response to a command sent to it
from Outlook. That means you'll have to contact your unidentified
e-mail provider and tell them that their mail server is screwed up, or
just wait it out for maybe up to a day or three to see if they fix their
mail server on their own.
