Can't send exchange mail and pop3 at same time Outlook 2003

I have Outlook 2003 and have it configured with one internal exchange email account and one pop3 internet account. In outlook 2000 I could send mail without having to choose an account and in 2003 I have to choose an account or else it won't work. Thank you!

Tony,

Having a POP account in the same profile as an Exchange account was
technically not a supported configuration. Anyway, for Outlook 2003 you
cannot send an email message using two different transports. This is why you
need to select the account to send the message if you do not want to use the
account listed in the InfoBar to send the message.
