Can't Send in Outlook 2007

I am having problems sending messages in OL 2007. I have two email accounts.
One is through my ISP. I have no problem sending through that account. I
also have a web host email account with my own domain. When I send via that
account it does not work. I get an error saying it cannot connect. But I
know it can connect because while I use the web hosting service's pop server
to receive I use my ISP's smtp for sending (it has other smtp's blocked). So
I am sending via my ISP smtp and receiving via my web host's pop.

Any ideas?

BTW I tried using Outlook Express and it has no problems.

Are you properly authenticating to the outgoing SMTP server using the ISP's
credentials (which I assume are different than the POP credentials, since
you're using a different server).

I have the same problem and have found that if I take Outlook 2007 off of my
machine and reload Outlook 2003, I have no problems. Also In advanced
settings Authentification is selected. And in addition I can run a repair on
my account and it is not found using Outlook 2007 (either encyrpted or
unencrypted). If people are successful sending mail how is that?

I am having this problem also. I can receive, but not send. I have no
problem sending in Yahoo. I get an error message: "Task 'pop3.quixnet.net
sending reportd Error (0x800CCC80) None of the authentication methods
supported by this client are supported by your server".
Can anyone tell me how to fix this (in somewhat plain English) as I am NOT
super tech savvy!

Thanks in advance.
