IE closes too?

I'd start with removing the *.srs file - if that fails, try a new profile to
see if it works.
Paste this line in windows explorer's address field to open the folder where
the file is:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

I have Outlook 2007 running on Vista Business using POP3 connection to
BellSouth.net. Outlook won't send to Distribution List but will send to
individuals and will always receive. Tried 1) recreating Distribution Lists
(lasts a day or less), 2) PST repair tool and reboot, 3) Office repair and
reboot, 4) deleted Profile and reboot and recreate Profile, 5) search on web
and Microsoft.com.

With prior versions of Windows and Outlook, I think a new Profile always
worked for an extended period of time (a year or more). I am amazed, but not
necessarily surprised, that Microsoft does not acknowledge this problem and
have a solution available.

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

So you are using OWA and IE closes? That's not an outlook problem. It's not
even related to the send and receive problem that started this thread.

What version of Exchange server do you use? What Version of IE do you use?

Have you asked the Exchange admin about it? The problem may be on the
exchange server and the admin will need to fix it.

reboot, 4) deleted Profile and reboot and recreate Profile, 5) search
on
web
and Microsoft.com.

With prior versions of Windows and Outlook, I think a new Profile
always
worked for an extended period of time (a year or more). I am amazed,
but
not
necessarily surprised, that Microsoft does not acknowledge this
problem
and
have a solution available.

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Which versions of Windows?
Try this one for XP %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

"windows can not find the file", this is what i have got.

:

IE closes too?

I'd start with removing the *.srs file - if that fails, try a new
profile
to
see if it works.
Paste this line in windows explorer's address field to open the
folder
where
the file is:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

the problem is not on the exchange server because i can access the mail

Diane Poremsky said:
So you are using OWA and IE closes? That's not an outlook problem. It's
not
even related to the send and receive problem that started this thread.

What version of Exchange server do you use? What Version of IE do you
use?

Have you asked the Exchange admin about it? The problem may be on the
exchange server and the admin will need to fix it.

Task 'SMTP server name - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80042109):
'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact the server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

I continue to receive email but cannot send. ISP says all is correct???

Any ideas.
