Can't send messages after installing wireless network

We recently installed a home wireless network. Both base
station and client computers are running XP and have
Outlook 2000. My computer is the client.

After this change, I found that I can receive emails
through Outlook but cannot send them. I have verified
that the internet and mail server configurations are
correct. When I try to send, I get this message:

"The message could not be sent because one of the
recipients was rejected by the server. Server
response: '553 sorry, relaying denied, please configure
SMTP authentification if using another ISP.

It then refers me to the support website of my ISP
(speakeasy) with Error Number 0x800ccc79.

Tech support at speakeasy couldn't figure out what the
problem was.

I would be grateful for any pointers.

Thanks

JJ

What SMTP server do you use? In Outlook, you'll need to find the Internet
Mail properties and tick the box for "my server requires authentication" if
your ISP requires it. Are you using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the
'base station' or do you have a broadband router providing the Internet
connection?
